Last week saw us pay a visit to the 2010 Annecy International Animation Festival. It was a world wind visit of 3 days jam packed with lots to do and get done, but it still managed to surprise us.
It all kicked off with an early morning flight, on to a bus, rush hour traffic, sweltering heat, collecting our accreditation and on to hotel check in before hitting the town for our first night.
Apart from the meetings, the animation discussions and the arguments about the storyline to Up, our main reason to be there was for the world premiere of Miss Remarkable and her Career. Our 30 min co-production short film was to be shown in the 4th programme of shorts. Our swedish co-producers and most of our crew that worked on the film were there to see it.

The short played very well with the French Audience, so well infact that Miss Remarkable and her Career was a winner of the Fipresci Award, from the International Critics.
What the Judges had to say
“Remarkable!
We poor film critics not only have to be very articulate when praising or condemning a film, but we have also to be very creative and come up with witty, clever texts each week for the cinema loving audience.
So we can really relate to the heroine in the film we chose as our winner. And it’s with great pride we say: we all loved Miss Remarkable and her Career!”
Now on to the next festival. and thanks again to Donal, for collecting and representing the film at the awards ceremony.
